ARA engagement: P+Z met with developer before the application was submitted to the City and expressed concerns over building height, oversight to rear yards along Admiral Road, and ingress and egress on to Davenport. After almost two years, Alterra submitted an application for an 8-storey development. This was opposed by neighbours due to overlook and proximity and an appeal was filed with LPAT (under old OMB rules). Mediation in September 2018 led to agreement for a 9-storey stepped building with smaller footprint, thereby addressing neighbours' concerns over proximity. link:
